### Chapter 02 — Establishment and Payment of In-Patient Charges by Recipients of Services and Other Chargeable Persons for the Patient's Care

#### Regulation .01 Scope.

*COMAR 10.04.02.01*

It is the policy of the Maryland Department of Health to determine the ability of recipients of services, responsible relatives, and other chargeable persons to pay for in-patient or in-residence services to individuals in State-operated facilities. These regulations shall govern the assessment of these charges unless specific charges are established by statutory enactment.
