Regulation .18 Volunteer Services.

The hospice care program's volunteer services shall play a vital role in enhancing the quality of care delivered to the patient and family by encouraging community participation in the overall hospice care program.

Volunteers may assist with patient care and administrative services consistent with the hospice care program's policies and in accordance with the requirements of this regulation.

Volunteers shall document their activities in the clinical record.

Volunteers shall comply with personnel policies and procedures.
