The Program covers inpatient psychiatric services for the diagnosis, active treatment, and care of recipients under 21 years old with mental disease when the services are:
A.
Medically necessary;
B.
Performed under the direction of a physician;
C.
Certified as necessary by an admissions team before the recipient's admission to the residential treatment center;
D.
In the case of a recipient already residing in the residential treatment center, certified as necessary by the team developing the individual plan of care in accordance with 42 CFR §441.153(b);
E.
For the treatment of a mental illness listed in COMAR 10.67.08.02M.
