This chapter: Governs food service facilities in Maryland; Along with COMAR 10.15.04, 15.04.01, and 15.11.11, establishes the standards for the control of Salmonella Enteritidis in shell eggs and egg-producing chickens as part of a program jointly administered by the Maryland Department of Health and the Maryland Department of Agriculture; and Is not intended to govern the food service operations in a child care center as defined in Family Law Article, §5-570, Annotated Code of Maryland, or a family day care home as defined in Family Law Article, §5-501, Annotated Code of Maryland, unless the food service operation is conducted in conjunction with another institution that is governed by this chapter.
