The approving authority shall ensure that: When there is reasonable cause to suspect foodborne disease transmission from a food service facility employee: A morbidity history of the suspected employee is taken; An investigation is conducted; and The appropriate follow-up action is taken that may include: Immediate exclusion of the employee from all food handling positions within the facility; and Immediate closing of the food service facility until medical and epidemiological evidence shows that the likelihood of further foodborne disease transmission is low; and An investigation, a report, and the control of a foodborne disease outbreak is conducted in accordance with the provisions of COMAR 10.06.01.
