The following shall be available to students: A written statement of students' rights and responsibilities; The opportunity to participate in program development and evaluation; A written grievance mechanism; and Guidance and advisement services. Students shall have: Membership on selected faculty committees, as appropriate; and The opportunity to participate in an organization of self-governance. Exercise of the right and responsibility to discuss, inquire, and express opinion is encouraged. Each program shall have clearly defined written policies for the following: Admission of: Generic students; Transfer students; and Articulation; Oral and written English proficiency in reference to Health Occupations Article, §8-302(e), Annotated Code of Maryland, and COMAR 10.27.01.05; Withdrawals; Readmissions; Progression; Counseling and guidance; Representation on faculty governance; Graduation; Refund policies governing all fees and tuition paid by students; and Ethical practices for the performance of activities, including recruitment, admission, and advertising. Each program shall have a written policy providing information to any student who may be subject to licensure denial under Health Occupations Article, §§-308(c) and 8-316(a), Annotated Code of Maryland, and amendments applying to that citation. The information shall be provided before admission to the nursing education program.
