Each course shall have a minimum of 16 hours of theory content. The curriculum shall include the following content areas: An historical perspective of case management; Insurance terms and types of coverage—general; Federal and State insurance statutes and regulations governing workers' compensation; Stakeholders—roles, responsibilities, ethical considerations, and goals; Maryland Nurse Practice Act; and Case management, including: Assessment; Planning; Implementation; Evaluation; Written reporting; and Communication. The course offering shall use texts from a Board-approved list.
