This chapter governs the practice of physician assistants and collaboration between physician assistants and one or more patient care team physicians. This chapter does not prohibit: A student from performing any of the procedures described in these regulations as part of an accredited school's clinical curriculum; An individual from practicing a health occupation that the individual is authorized to practice under Health Occupations Article, Annotated Code of Maryland; or A physician assistant employed by the federal government from performing duties incident to that employment.
