In this chapter, the following terms have the meanings indicated. Terms Defined. “Asynchronous” means not occurring in real time. “Board” means the Maryland Board of Chiropractic Examiners. “In-person” means within the physical presence of the patient. “Synchronous” means occurring in real time. “Telehealth” has the meaning stated in Health Occupations Article, §1-1001, Annotated Code of Maryland. “Telehealth practitioner” means a Maryland licensed chiropractor performing telehealth services within their respective scope of practice.
