In addition to those functions described in Regulation .03A of this chapter, a dental hygienist who is recognized by the Board as qualified may: Administer local anesthesia by infiltration; Administer local anesthesia by inferior alveolar nerve block; Administer nitrous oxide; and Prescribe and administer medication.
