### Chapter 04 — Practice of Dental Hygiene

#### Regulation .36 Issuance of Recognition to Prescribe and Administer Medication.

*COMAR 10.44.04.36*

A. The Board may issue a recognition as qualified to prescribe and administer medication to a dental hygienist who is not certified or otherwise recognized in another state after the Board’s review of:

  (1) The applicant’s application;

  (2) The applicant’s qualifications; and

  (3) Any other pertinent documents or information requested by the Board.

B. The Board may issue a recognition as qualified to prescribe and administer medication to a dental hygienist who is certified or otherwise recognized in another state after the Board’s review of:

  (1) The applicant’s application and accompanying affidavit;

  (2) The applicant’s qualifications; and

  (3) Any other pertinent documents or information requested by the Board.
