A.
An individual holding an expired certification to practice dental radiation technology may apply for reinstatement if the individual:
(1)
Completes a dental radiation technology reinstatement application;
(2)
Provides proof of 10 hours of dental continuing education from Board-approved courses of which:
(a)
4 hours shall be in radiology; and
(b)
2 hours shall be in infection control; and
(3)
Pays to the Board a certification reinstatement fee as set forth in COMAR 10.44.20.
B.
Commencing on January 1, 2025, and thereafter, a dental radiation technologist who applies for reinstatement of an expired certification shall complete the 3-hour Board-approved infection control course identified in Regulation .05E and F of this chapter.
