A.
Executive Director. The Executive Director of the Commission:
(1)
Is the chief administrative officer of the Commission;
(2)
Is appointed by the Commission with the approval of the Governor;
(3)
Serves at the pleasure of the Commission; and
(4)
Shall, under the direction of the Commission, perform any duty or function that the Commission requires, consistent with Health-General Article, §§19-2101 — 2201, Annotated Code of Maryland, and this subtitle.
B.
Staff.
(1)
The Commission may employ a staff in accordance with the State budget.
(2)
The Commission, in consultation with the Secretary, shall determine appropriate job classifications and grades for all staff.
