The Board shall review all completed applications within 90 days of receipt of the completed application. The Board may delegate the initial review of applications to a committee of the Board. At the next regular meeting of the Board, the Board may approve or deny an application reviewed by the Board or its designee. Upon review of an application, the Board shall either: Approve the applicant for licensure; or Deny a license. Ineligibility or Denial of Applications. The Board may: Determine an applicant is ineligible for a license if the applicant has: Not completed the academic requirements in Regulation .04 of this chapter; Not completed the experience requirements in Regulation .05 of this chapter; Failed the examination requirements in Regulation .07 of this chapter; Failed to remit a fee; Failed to properly complete the application form; Deny a license if the applicant has: Violated the Act or any provision or these regulations; or Been shown to have a lack of good moral character. If the Board denies a license under §E(1)(b) of this regulation, the Board or the Board's designee shall: Provide the applicant written notification of the Board's intent to deny and the basis for that denial; and Notify the applicant of the applicant's right to request a formal hearing to appeal the denial. An applicant who has been determined to be ineligible may reapply and shall submit with the new application proof of compliance with: Board regulations; and The applicable provisions of the Act in effect at the time of the new application. Issuance of License. If the Board approves an applicant for a license, the Board shall: Send the applicant a notice specifying that the applicant has qualified for a license; and Upon receipt of the license fee, issue a license to the applicant. The Board shall include on each license the: Full name of the licensee; Serial number assigned by the Board to the licensee; and Signature of the Chairman of the Board, under the seal of the Board. Unless the Board suspends or revokes the license of a licensed dietitian or licensed nutritionist, the license is effective for at least 2 years from the date issued and authorizes the person to practice dietetics while the license is effective.
