In order to be licensed under this subtitle, a psychiatric day treatment program (PDTP) shall:
A.
Provide short-term, intensive, day or evening mental health treatment and support services for individuals who do not require 24-hour care;
B.
Focus on the amelioration of an individual’s acute psychiatric symptoms; and
C.
Be medically supervised and staffed by a multidisciplinary treatment team that includes, at a minimum:
(1)
A psychiatrist; and
(2)
A registered nurse.
