A.
In this chapter, the following terms have the meanings indicated.
B.
Terms Defined.
(1)
“Golf cart” means a small, four-wheeled vehicle powered by a gasoline or electric motor with:
(a)
Seating designed to carry more than one occupant;
(b)
A maximum capable speed of not more than 20 miles per hour;
(c)
A windshield; and
(d)
A steering wheel.
(2)
“Golf cart” does not mean:
(a)
A motor vehicle as defined in Transportation Article, §11-135, Annotated Code of Maryland;
(b)
A low-speed vehicle as defined in Transportation Article, §11-130.1, Annotated Code of Maryland;
(c)
An off highway recreational vehicle as defined in Transportation Article, §11-140.1, Annotated Code of Maryland; or
(d)
A motor vehicle capable of being registered as any other vehicle classification under the Transportation Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
