In this chapter, the following terms have the meanings indicated. Terms Defined. “Golf cart” means a small, four-wheeled vehicle powered by a gasoline or electric motor with: Seating designed to carry more than one occupant; A maximum capable speed of not more than 20 miles per hour; A windshield; and A steering wheel. “Golf cart” does not mean: A motor vehicle as defined in Transportation Article, §11-135, Annotated Code of Maryland; A low-speed vehicle as defined in Transportation Article, §11-130.1, Annotated Code of Maryland; An off highway recreational vehicle as defined in Transportation Article, §11-140.1, Annotated Code of Maryland; or A motor vehicle capable of being registered as any other vehicle classification under the Transportation Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
