A.
Pursuant to the Maryland Vehicle Law and these regulations, the Administrator shall obtain information regarding the physical and mental condition of an individual who seeks to drive on the highways of this State.
B.
Drivers of Commercial Motor Vehicles.
(1)
Drivers of commercial vehicles shall meet the physical qualifications in §B(2)—(4) of this regulation.
(2)
Interstate Operations. Interstate drivers of commercial motor vehicles shall meet the physical qualifications of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations contained in 49 CFR 390—392, which is incorporated by reference.
(3)
Intrastate Operations. Intrastate drivers of commercial motor vehicles shall meet the physical qualifications of COMAR 11.21.01 which incorporates by reference, subject to certain amendments and exemptions, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations contained in 49 CFR 390—392.
(4)
School Vehicle Operations. Drivers of school vehicles shall meet the physical qualifications of COMAR 11.19.05 and 11.21.01 which incorporate by reference, subject to certain amendments and exemptions, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations contained in 49 CFR 390—392.
