The entire underside of the vehicle body and front fenders, including floor members and side panels below floor level, shall be coated with a fire resistant asphalt based or rubber based undercoating material applied by spray method at least 1/8 inch thick in order to seal, deaden sound, insulate, and prevent oxidation. Fiberglass construction is exempt from undercoating requirements.
