An applicant qualifying for approval as an apprentice instructor shall: With the exception of §§A and B(10) of this regulation, meet all the qualifications for instructor certification as set forth in Regulation .16 of this chapter; and Have successfully passed the knowledge test and the basic skills evaluation in both classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction conducted by the Administration. Pending the receipt of satisfactory data on their criminal history record as set forth in Regulation .18 of this chapter, an applicant otherwise qualified for an apprentice instructor permit may begin teaching under the direct supervision of an experienced certified instructor.
