A.
This chapter establishes Commission requirements for an individual regulated by the Commission for:
(1)
Firearms classroom instruction and training and qualification; and
(2)
Authorization to use or carry a firearm.
B.
Commission requirements are minimum requirements. Therefore, a law enforcement agency may adopt more stringent requirements for firearms classroom instruction and training and qualification.
C.
This chapter does not apply to a firearm authorized by a law enforcement agency for use by a police officer which discharges a projectile that is not intended to cause death.
