The requirements for licensure as a supervisor of school counseling are that the applicant shall: Meet the requirements for licensure as a school counselor; Have 3 years of effective performance as a school counselor; Complete 3 semester hours or State-approved CPD credits in special education coursework; and Have 12 semester hours of graduate credit from an institution of higher education in any of the following areas, with at least 6 semester hours in school supervision or school administration: Management; School supervision; School administration; Program development; or Program evaluation.
