The requirements for licensure as a supervisor of teachers of the deaf and hard of hearing are that the applicant shall: Meet the requirements for licensure as a teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing; Have a master’s degree from an institution of higher education, with at least one course in administrative and supervisory techniques and one course in curriculum development; Complete 3 semester hours or State-approved CPD credits in special education coursework; and Have experience that includes: 3 years of successful teaching experience with the deaf and hard of hearing; or 4 years paid experience or its equivalent in a school setting with 2 years successful teaching experience with the deaf and hard of hearing.
