Use of Voucher. A CCS Program voucher may be used only with: A child care center; A family child care home: or An approved informal child care provider. An informal child care voucher may be used only for informal child care. Voucher Issuance. A contractor shall: Issue a voucher to an eligible customer that is: Effective from the date a signed and dated application is received and all required verifications have been approved; and Related to the schedule and duration of the applicant's activity; and Provide access to information and referral services to assist the customer in finding appropriate child care. Except for a voucher issued pursuant to Regulation .09A(3) of this chapter, or unless a voucher becomes void pursuant to §B(3) of this regulation, each voucher is valid for a maximum of 12 months from the voucher’s issue date if the voucher is returned to the contractor within 60 days of its issue date. A child care voucher is void if: It is not signed by the child care provider and the customer; Placement is not made; or It is not returned to the contractor within 60 days of its issue date. The contractor shall issue to a customer a notification of the expiration of a voucher at least 15 days before the expiration date to allow for application and review of the customer’s eligibility for a new voucher. A new voucher may be issued if a customer moves to another local jurisdiction in Maryland and the contractor determines that the customer is still eligible for CCS Program services.
