The Office has the sole authority to approve each trainer and training session. An organization or individual may not offer preservice, continued, or core of knowledge training unless the: Trainer and the training have met the requirements for approval stated in this chapter; and Trainer possesses a valid certificate of approval issued by the Office. Preservice training shall be offered only by: A regionally accredited or approved college or university; or An organization or individual approved to offer core of knowledge training by the Office. Continued training may be offered only by: A regionally accredited or approved college or university; An approved trainer or training organization with special skills and knowledge relating to the care and education of children or the management of child care programs; Child care associations approved to conduct or provide training; The Office of Child Care; or A local, State, or federal government agency. Core of knowledge training may be offered only by: A regionally accredited or approved college or university; Approved trainers or training organizations described in §C of this regulation that meet the requirements of Regulation .07 of this chapter; The Office of Child Care; or A local, State, or federal government agency. A certificate of training approval is: Valid for a period of 4 years from the effective date stated on the certificate; and Renewable.
