Transfer by a receiving institution of previously awarded credit for prior learning, whether credit by exam, for nationally recognized standardized examination scores, or experiential learning, shall be: Evaluated using the same standards that apply to the awarding of credit for prior learning to non-transfer students at the receiving institution; Indicated on the student’s transcript at the receiving institution, including the basis for awarding the credit for prior learning; and Consistent with COMAR 13B.02.02.16H. Equivalency for prior learning which has no explicit course equivalency, such as experiential learning, shall be established by the receiving institution using the same validation procedures for evaluating specific learning outcomes that are used for non-transfer students at the institution.
