State-Operated Programs. The Department's Information Technology Unit is responsible for the installation and maintenance of computer hardware and software for all State-operated facilities and other programs. Private-Sector Providers. The Department's Information Technology Unit may: Assist private-sector providers in having their local area networks connected to the information support system; and Provide training for the entering of data into the system. Additional equipment costs, including personal computers that meet the Department's specifications, may be the responsibility of the provider.
