Regulation .12 Temporary, Noncontractual Appointment.

An appointing authority may appoint any qualified individual as a temporary, noncontractual employee for reasons relevant to the efficient and effective operation of a department.

The appointing authority shall immediately report to the Secretary a temporary, noncontractual appointment in the manner required by the Secretary.

A temporary, noncontractual appointment may not continue for more than 6 months and may not be renewed.
