Applicants seeking to interconnect a small generator facility shall submit an interconnection request to the utility that owns the electric distribution system to which interconnection is sought. An interconnection request shall be in the form and format specified by the utility that owns the electric distribution system to which interconnection is sought and shall include the following information and any additional information that may be reasonably requested by the utility: Contact information for the interconnection customer; Existing utility account information; Location information for the small generator facility; Contact information for the interconnection customer’s equipment and electrical contractors; Information on the manner in which the interconnection customer intends to use the small generator facility; Requested review level for interconnection request; Technical information regarding the generator and prime mover; Technical information regarding the interconnection components and system or systems; Location and other information regarding disconnect switch for small generator facility; Details regarding any plans to export power to the electric distribution system; and Any other item specified by the Commission. Each utility shall make reasonable efforts to align the content of its interconnection request form with those forms provided by other utilities in Maryland. Each utility shall establish a process that allows an applicant and an applicant’s authorized designee to: Sign and submit an interconnection request electronically on the utility’s website; Track the status of the interconnection request electronically; and Conduct electronically any other process that can reasonably occur in that manner.
