A.
Whenever a claimant is required to take some action or make an election under this subtitle, the request or election shall be:
(1)
Made in writing; and
(2)
Sent by first class mail, postage prepaid, to the State Retirement Agency, 120 East Baltimore Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21202, Attention: Executive Director.
B.
Time Limitations. A petition for hearing shall be filed within 180 days of the date of the Retirement Agency’s written notice pursuant to State Government Article, §10-207, Annotated Code of Maryland.
