At the time of hiring, an employee shall be notified of the employee's right to request an exemption from receiving net pay by electronic funds transfer. An employee may submit a written request to the State Treasurer for payment of the employee's biweekly net pay by check instead of by an electronic funds transfer. The request shall be granted by the State Treasurer.
