A.
A solid waste is a hazardous waste if it is listed in Regulations .16—.19 unless it has been excluded from this list under COMAR 26.13.01.04A and B.
B.
The Secretary will indicate his basis for listing the classes or types of wastes listed in Regulations .16—.19 of this chapter by employing one or more of the following hazard codes:
(1)
Ignitable waste ------------------------------------------(i);
(2)
Corrosive waste ---------------------------------------- (C);
(3)
Reactive waste ----------------------------------------- (R);
(4)
Toxicity characteristic waste ------------------------- (E);
(5)
Acute hazardous waste -------------------------------- (H);
(6)
Toxic waste --------------------------------------------- (T).
C.
Regulation .23 of this chapter identifies the constituent which caused the Secretary to list the waste as a toxicity characteristic waste (E) or toxic waste (T) in Regulations .16 and .17 of this chapter.
D.
Each hazardous waste listed in Regulations .16—.19 of this chapter is assigned a Hazardous Waste Number which precedes the name of the waste. This number shall be used in complying with the notification requirements, and certain record-keeping and reporting requirements under COMAR 26.13.03—26.13.06 and 26.13.09.
E.
The following hazardous wastes also listed in Regulations .16 and .17 of this chapter are subject to the exclusion limits for acute hazardous wastes established in Regulation .05 of this chapter:
(1)
F020, F021, F022, F023, F026, and F027 of Regulation .16 of this chapter; and
(2)
K991—K999 of Regulation .17 of this chapter.
