The records shall be stored in a secured computer system and secured laboratory files according to Crime Laboratory standard operating procedures. Records and specimen information shall be identified by: A unique laboratory tracking number; Name of the dealer; Manufacturer; Model name or number, or both; Serial number; Date of test firing; Name of the technician attesting to the authenticity of the shell casing; Caliber; Rifling characteristics; and Application numbers.
