The hospital shall provide and participate in periodic continuing education programs for physicians, nurses, and allied health personnel concerning the treatment and care of the pediatric trauma patient and family. The hospital shall: Provide formal internal continuing education programs for physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals; Provide orientation on pediatric trauma protocols and trauma care for all rotating physicians, nurses, and allied health personnel assigned to units where pediatric trauma care is provided; and Provide external continuing education programs concerning the care and treatment of pediatric trauma patients for physicians, nurses, and allied health personnel within the region and in the State.
