In addition to meeting the requirements of COMAR 30.08.11.09, a designated comprehensive stroke center shall have the following diagnostic capability available when indicated: Carotid duplex ultrasound; Transcranial ultrasonography; and Transesophageal or transthorasic echocardiogram.
