In this chapter, the following terms have the meanings indicated. Terms Defined. “Administration” means the Maryland Insurance Administration. “Antifraud plan” means antifraud plans as provided for in Insurance Article, §27-803, Annotated Code of Maryland. “Commissioner” means the Insurance Commissioner of Maryland. Insurer. “Insurer” means authorized insurers and includes dental plans, fraternal benefit societies, the Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund, health maintenance organizations, nonprofit health service plans, and third party administrators. “Insurer” does not include reinsurers.
