The Program may provide technical and general advisory assistance to museums for the purpose of: Assisting museums to become eligible for grants; Developing long-range plans; Becoming accredited by the American Association of Museums or other pertinent entity that provides museum accreditation; and Meeting professional museum standards. Advisory and technical assistance shall be made available to applicants in the order in which written requests are received, subject to the availability of Program staff and budgetary resources.
